Streamlining E-commerce Operations: Setting up Channel Connections and Attributes Mapping Effortlessly

Amplifi.io assists brands in arranging, refining, and share their product content across various marketplaces.

Project Brief

The e-commerce manager wants to simplify the process of managing and distributing product information by leveraging Amplifi’s capabilities. This involves setting up connections with various marketplaces and configuring mappings within the Channels section of the System Settings.

The ultimate aim is to eliminate the need for manual spreadsheet work and enable a more efficient and automated workflow for product information management and distribution.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Engaged with stakeholders to grasp business requirements, goals, problems, and project outcomes.
  • Communicated with business analyst to comprehend the existing processes.
  • Conducted user interviews to grasp user goals, needs, and pain points
  • Synthesised data and created empathy map, persona and user journey map
  • Collaboration with the development team to assess feasibility.
  • Created user flow and task analysis.
  • Generated rapid mock-ups and conducted team reviews for early feedback.

Goals

Challenges

Deliver the best possible user experience as an MVP while staying within technical feasibility and aesthetic constraints.

Evaluate the existing components and integrating new elements from our Pattern Design System Library to enhance the user experience, all while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic.

Discovery

After the initial briefing with the Project Manager, I conducted “Ask the Expert” session with the Business Analysts to understand the current flow and their perspective.

Later, talked to E-commerce Brand Associate and Brand Manager to learn about their issues and user needs. Interviewed 2 users due to time limits, understanding their current flow and potential improvements.

Synthesised the data to create an Empathy Map, Personas, and User Journey Map, forming the basis for designing solutions that truly connect with users.

How Might We Statement

HMW streamline the process to set up connections and mappings within the Channels section, reducing the manual effort required for syndicating product information to marketplaces?

 

Presented the findings to the stakeholders and we brainstormed collaboratively to find a probable solution for our e-commerce brand manager and associate.

User Flow

Discovering and Navigating Channels:
– User logs into Amplifi.
– Then navigates to the Channels section. Admin > System > System Settings > Channels
– Selects Auto Channels

Setting Up Connections for Auto Channels:
– Clicks on “Create Channel” for Auto Channels.
– Amplifi redirects to Connect.pattern.com.
– Adds a new connection, selects the marketplace, and fills out the required details.
– After signing in to the selected marketplace, user is redirected back to Amplifi.
– The new Auto Channel appears in the “Auto Channels” list in System Settings.

Managing Auto and Manual Channels:
– Views the list of available Auto and Manual Channels.
– Clicks “View Channel” to access detailed information for a specific channel.

Updating Mappings for Channels:
– User accesses the mappings section within the chosen channel.
– Adjusts mappings to align Amplifi attributes with attributes provided by Connect.

Monitoring Syndication:
– User checks the Syndication Log on the Channel Details page regularly.
